  • Accounts in good standing with the lender whereas the borrower is experiencing financial difficulties in repaying their Canada Student Loan.

  • Application for Permanent Disability Status, Interest Relief, Debt Reduction in Repayement, Revision and Repayment of Terms.

  • Consolidation of Canada Student Loans (establish a repayment arrangement after completion of studies).

  • Rehabilitation of Risk-Shared loans (August 1, 1995 to August 1, 2000) in order to qualify for further financial assistance.


    Provincial Authorities

  • Application process

  • Appeals concerning the application process, amount received, refusal, designated institutions.

  • How schools can become a designated institution, recognized for CSL purposes.

  • Remissions and grants are all assessed at the Provincial Authorities level.

    * There is not remission program for the CSL (federal) program.
